RAE

And, as much as I would like to believe otherwise, I too think Wash is dead. I hope to be wrong, but I also know that wishing it so, just doesn't make it so. If it did, then all the wishing I've seen on this board would have already resurrected our dear beloved pilot, and it would be a mute point.

When it happened, my husband actually got up and walked out he was so upset!

JOSSISAGOD

Rae,I almost screamed "OH, MY GOD, THEY KILLED WASH,YOU BASTARDS!" right in the middle of a wall to wall packed theater! I just barely held myself together, I was devistated for weeks! I couldn't believe Joss had killed my favorite character! I'm still a little miffed about WHY he had to go. Of course as you say "wishing (he was still alive) does't make it so."

However I still think,

LIMINALOSITY

Wow! The smoke and flame of this thread are visible from a far distant green hill.

OK, I'll weigh in, against my better (or at least more cowardly) judgement.

The flat aspect of this kind of written communication can really get the old undies in a bundle quick when one isn't careful to take full deep breaths. Not turning on any torches myself, I would like to add that some of the 'children' on this site are more thoughtful, self searching and kind than many humans I have known with a much longer experience of the world.

REL=PR ha ha ha, not so much, but it will be very interesting for me to figure out how many multiheaded identities live in this verse.

I'm really glad Joss left himself wiggle room in this business with our late and much lamented friends. I'm always the naive optimist when it comes to this sort of thing. I hoped the powers would send a team back to rescue Bruce Willis' character in 12 Monkeys, and when I first heard of Survivor I thought 'neat! a boyscout game where they all help each other survive on an island'. So in this spirit of no death for good guys, I want to say in my tiniest shy voice that
it's 500 years in the future and a lot can happen in regular old medical technology in so long a stretch, even without the use of magic. Also, I'll bet that whatever Joss decides to do it will be something that none of us predicted, and that's part of what makes him such an amazing storyteller.

Keep Flyin'
