Other pilot-casting highlights include Gina Torres, tapped to star opposite Kristin Davis in ABC’s "Soccer Moms".

"Soccer Moms," from Touchstone TV, revolves around two suburban housewives (Davis, Torres) who team up as private investigators.

Torres, seen in the two most recent "Matrix" movies, next will be seen in Joss Whedon’s "Serenity." She is repped by the Metropolitan Talent Agency.

It will be cool to see her on TV again. She will also be on Alias. Oh yeah...and Kristin Davis is beautiful!

Good news. The concept sounds a little shaky; maybe if they were desperate soccer mom detectives, huh? But, I'll keep an open mind -- and my fingers crossed -- just because it'd mean a weekly dose of one of the most beautiful women on the planet.

And I ain't talkin' about Kristin Davis, either. I just dug her up on IMDB and let's just say she doesn't do it for me. A little too stringy for my tastes. Gina on the other hand...
