European release dates: The difinitive word from UIP.

I posted this on Serenity.com in response to queries and complaints from a multitude of European Browncoats, just thought I'd post it here too.

Monica, by the way, is my contact at UIP.

Ok people in order to make even the most despondent among you crack at least a smile I have translated the e-mail sent to me by Monica in response to my mail of this morning. It includes the URL’s for the Dutch Serenity website and the rest of Europe website. This should keep you happy for a while.
By the way I have translated sentence by sentence so the English sentence is directly beneath the Dutch version, ok?

Wij hebben de rechten in alle Europese landen en daar vallen ook de landen
onder die jij noemt.
We hold the rights to ALL European countries including the ones you mentioned (I mentioned Germany, Finland, Hungary, Ireland)

Let maar niet op imdb. Qua releasedata (buiten Amerika) klopt niet altijd.
Please don’t pay too much attention to the Imbd site their release dates outside the US are not always correct.

Soms staan wij zelfs als enige land erbij simpelweg omdat wij lang vantevoren onze releasedata op onze site zetten.
Sometimes we are the only country mentioned simply because we put our release dates on our website long in advance.

Alhoewel ik het niet erg vind je vragen te beantwoorden (ik weet wat het is
om fan te zijn van iets!), kun je vanaf nu toch maar beter gewoon onze site
in de gaten houden. Zodra ik nieuwe informatie heb, geef ik dat namelijk
aan onze webmaster door.
Although I don’t mind answering your questions, (I know what it’s like to be a fan of something!) It might be better if, from now on you consult our website. As soon as I have new information I pass it on to our webmaster anyway.

De fans in andere landen kunnen via www.uip.com naar de site van hun land
gaan (alhoewel niet alle landen een site hebben).
Fans in other countries can go to their own country’s website through www.uip.com
Although not all countries have their own website.

Als eenmaal onze datum
verschijnt op onze site en je andere Europese data niet kunt vinden, kun je
me dat wel nog vragen, want dat kan ik hier intern in ons systeem opzoeken.
As soon as you see our (Dutch)date on the site and if you can’t find other dates for Europe yet, you can ask me that, because I can find them in our system.

Zodra wij foto's hebben van de film, zul je deze ook op onze site zien!
As soon as we have pictures we’ll put them up on our site too.
