Everybody Dies Alone.

Okay so I saw another thread entitled "is Adam Baldwin Nice or A Jerk" and I kind of wanted to ask the same question about Jewel Staite. I'm meeting her in March at comic con and form what everyone tells me she's very sweet however most people who answer that are girls. I know a few celebrities (looking at you Paul Mcgann) who are very nice to girls but total jerks to guys. I'm getting an autograph from her as well. However what got me thinking was her twitter account bio says "expect me to be like a character from your favorite show at your own risk". I'm not expecting her to be like Kaylee or nothing like that she's an actress of course but I'm wondering if she's a bit mean to Firefly Fans or mean to fans in general or standoffish. When I met Paul Mcgann (8th doctor) he was pretty standoffish and didn't like to talk or do anything and was kind of grumpy unless he was flirting with the girls in line. His companion Daphne Ashbrooke however was a sweetie pie and the sweetest actress I've ever met.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I met Jewel three or four years ago at Dallas ComicCon. She was as nice and personable as one could expect of a celebrity that has to endure thousands of fans in the course of a day. She even said I was 'cute' although I think what she meant to say was that I was 'sweet'. When it came time for an autograph she said I had a lovely name, and I said that was something coming from a lovely woman with the perfect name.

If an actress is anything less than nice at a con it would more than likely be due to a fan over-stepping the bounds of propriety. I'm normally shy around regular people, I'm surprised I said as much as I did when standing awestruck in front of a woman who was more beautiful in person than I had ever seen her on screen.
