I needed to say thanks to someone here and since I don't know specifically who to thank, I'll thank you all!!

My family knows how crazy I am over Firefly and how much I enjoy reading and posting here. I'm always telling them about you all, the stories you tell, funny things you said, theories you've got, etc.
I mentioned one time that someone here was making Jayne's hat from The Message. They spent many secretive hours reading through the archives finding that person and yesterday they gave me the greatest gift, a shiny knitted Jayne hat, complete with straw and a copy of the letter from Mom. I was moved to tears. Needless to say I looked pretty goofy in that hat with tears streaming down my face. They took pictures anyway. :)

Anyway, thanks to you all and special thanks to the person who made my hat. I'll be wearing it to the BDM, look for me!
(P.S. If I'm in front of you and the hat is in your way, just let me know and I'll scrunch down:)

Shiny! Congrats KarenKay99, and I'm a bit jealous. No, not really. I'm just pleased as punch that not only do you have such an passion for Firefly, but you have loved ones around you who would do such a wondermous thing as to present you a Jayne hat ( straw included ).

Anyone sees you coming down the street wearing a hat like that knows you ain't afraid of anything!

My hat should arrive shortly. The postman will be pleased. For the last few days he has had to put up with me, having just got up, flinging open the door and demanding to know whether anything has arrived from the States. I am definately not at my viewing best when I first get up!

Awwww, how neat. I'm going to knit one as soon as I find just the right yarn.

BTW, for a really good view of the hat, go to the Easter Egg of Adam Baldwin singing "Hero of Canton." He wears the hat. You get to it by going to "Joss sings the Firefly theme", but don't click on it. Click the "left" thing on your remote, THEN click play. Great look at the hat.
