I followed another thread and ended up on Amazon.

ch-type=ss&index=blended

Firefly DVD is $20.48 and Firefly BluRay is $44.99. This is about $20 and $15 cheaper than usual. I'm not sure why. Anyone have any ideas?

In any event, I know some people who are getting Firefly for Christmas, whether they thought they wanted it or not!

I have both and recommend the BluRay over the DVD. The BluRay sound is much better.

The picture is better but not as significantly better. I think this is because the DVD transfer is one of the better DVD's done and when it is converted it looks Pretty Damn Good. Still the BluRay is better and if you have a big screen gives more of movie feel to Firefly. I like the extra detail.

This is just a theory but: I think that Amazon is so huge, like Wal-Mart but on the internet, that they can get special deals regarding price for most of their merchandise.

But, and here comes the other shoe, be careful not to go overboard with the express shipping, because what you save in your purchase price is made up in the shipping costs.

yes, I ordered some movies (3) and it cost me nearly $20 between shipping and taxes. Just thought I pass that on to you.

Amazon prices go up and down all the time. I typically put items into my cart, but don't necessarily buy them right away. When I come back at a later date most of the prices have gone up or down. I think they do that to stimulate that old impulse purchase thing.

I don't know why it's cheap , but if you can, buy an extra set and send it to

They're really short on entertainment and it'd be super if we could spread the 'verse to those who really need it.

Amazon does go up and down all the time. It's just that I've never seen the prices this LOW.

I can't say enough good things about the BluRay Firefly. On a big screen HDTV, you get so much detail that it is whole new experience. To me, it's the closest thing to watching them for the first time.
