Can you save videos you see on YouTube that you like?

That's totally what my entire question is; I have seen a few fanvids that I want to save to another computer and am wondering if it would work?

I know that if you have Firefox, there is an extension called "Videodownloader". THis extension allows you to download the video. You have to either have an flv player (google) or convert it to another format.

I use Opera (version 9), and with that i just have to watch it on youtube, then go to the Application Data folder (it should be under one of the folders in Docs and Settings), open Opera, select the version (don't know if you have to do that if you've only used it once), open the cache, and make it so it arranges the list in order of size, find the giant tmp files, copy them, paste them somewhere permanent, rename them as flv's, and type in the title i'd like 'em to be. You need an flv player though. Just google FLV player, and the one i use is the first to pop up. It's nice. That sounds like a lot, but it really only takes like 2 minutes. Glad to be of service!

Already metioned but hey,if you have Firefox( http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ ) you download Videodownloader form http://addons.mozilla.org/?application=firefox
then once installed there should be a icon like a floppydisk & reel of film behind the floppy,you double click that once you are on the webpage with the video you want,then wait till a box appears then click download link then save it somewhere on your hard drive & remember to put .flv on the end of the file name not unless already done for you.

If you can find them on Google Video, it's got the downloads built in. They've got a lot of the same stuff, though not all of it.
