Help,

I'm trying to order Firefly but I'm ordering other things as well. Now, there just isn't room for all this stuff to come off my poor credit card at once. Does anyone know FOR SURE if pre-orders get charged as soon as the order is made or is it as soon as the item becomes available?

Yah. Confirmed. Indeed, I once had the sad experience of having to cancel a loooong-awaited pre-order (Peter Gabriel's "Up." Since happily purchased), due to a last minute reversal of fiscal fortunes, just as the Day Of Billing loomed close.

I don't know how it works in Canada, but in the states you can even refuse the shipment (unopened) when it gets to you and get all your money credited back to you (but it admittedly may take a couple of months to process)

My credit cards don't really have room either right now (stupid wedding - should've eloped) but I put in my order this morning for Firefly, Buffy Season 5, and Angel Season 2. I did the same thing with Buffy Season 4 and it didn't charge until it shipped!
