Fresh news from an Italian Browncoat currently in Los Angeles for her Summer vacations...
Wonder what I've just got today from a local bookstore???
Firefly: The Official Companion Volume One!!!
Aaaagghhh I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the book from the store's window...I was convinced that the book's street date was set for the end of September for the US and the end of August for UK.
Actually I was at that bookstore today because I had to pick up the Serenity movie novelization that I had ordered the week before (couldn't find it in Milano, where I live, though we have lots of International bookstores).
I've immediately bought it, don't know if that was their only copy of the Companion book and I don't know if other bookstores in America already carry it but I suggest you to go and take a look at your nearest biggest bookstore tomorrow!
Anyway the book is BEAUTIFUL!!!
I still have to explore it, but looks like it has lots of unseen pictures from the series's set, trivia, new interviews, scripts from the first 6 episodes, studies on costumes and weapons and the graphic is very elegant and shiny!
And...looks like the second Companion book will come with a little gift included...Vera!!!!
Well, a guess a mini version of Vera, pretty colorful...can't wait!!!

I' soooo excited!

Wow! That's amazing! I was going to post the good news I just got from amazon.com that they'll be shipping the visual companion to me around Sept. 7-9, but then I saw this post and it's even better news!

Yea! We all have something shiny to look forward to in our near future!

Is it not awesome! I got mine a week ago from my local comic book guy and I love it so. The whole page about Mal's holster may have been my favorite...such an awesome picture.

Need to cover it in plastic to repel drool.

ME TOO!!! Yippee!

I was calling all over Anchorage for this book and I called some "hole-in-the-wall" comic store and they had just ONE! I begged her to hold it for me and rushed right over. It was awesome! It was even wrapped in plastic for me. It's so SHINY!!! Now I just gotta keep it safe and away from the kiddies.

Also happy to report that I'm expecting a new Browncoat sweatshirt w/the 57th overlanders patch!
