Fireflyfans.net is hosting a contest to create trailers for the Firefly episodes. Those shiny with the vid making are encouraged to tackle all the episodes, or produce a trailer introducing the series. The purpose would be to tell enough of the story to intrigue someone unfamiliar with FF, so they would rent and/or buy the DVDs. This idea came about when we were discussing how horrible the 2002 trailers were for FF on FOX, so we thought, hey...why not make BETTER ones?

The winners will be posted on YouTube as a set of related videos that anyone can watch through a browser. YouTube has an awesome search engine. There are already several FF and Serenity related fanvids and con vids on there, but nothing as targeted as what we could come up with to introduce the series to the uninitiated.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: August 31st, 2006
