X-men Firefly correlations

Correct me if I'm wrong on these because I was too lazy to actally look up the names, I'm just going off of looks here.

Scott and I went and watched X-men tonight, and I being the FireFly nut that I am noticed two connections.

1)the guy playing Jean Grey's father in the first flash back is the same guy that played the Alliance officer in Serenity the Pilot. (10 points for people who can name the character and the actor, because I'm too tired to look it up)

2)The actor who played the winged mutant played tucker in flashforward w/ Jewel (Kaylee)[and might I add that growing up was kind to him... *drool*]

Basically I was wondering if anyone else picked up on anything. Be it, other actor connections (7 degrees of Serenity kind of thing) or plot based, whatever I'm not picky.

The winged mutant was Ben Foster who played Warren Worthington the 3rd aka. Angel. And I suppose in some weird way, he deserves that title more than the Angel of the Buffyverse. I mean, he does have an impressive wingspan. All Angel's got is a soul, a wrinkly forehead and pointy teeth.

As per X-MEN/FIREFLY connections, Alan Tudyk, aka. Wash, guest starred on an ep of FRASIER with Kelsey Grammer, who I'm guessing will now be forever known as Beast instead of Frasier. No better way to erase a role you played for 19 years than by becoming a blue, furry mutant.

Another one would be Shawn Ashmore (aka. Bobby Drake aka. Iceman) who starred in EARTHSEA with Isabella Rossillini, who guest starred on ALIAS, which had not only Amy Acker from ANGEL but also Gina Torres from FIREFLY.
