Need help finding Firefly studio pilot

or whatever it would be called.

I was reading the forums the other day and came across a thread that had links to the treatment (?) that was shown to the studio execs. It had the original cast, but with Rebecca Gayheart as Inara (I think).

Now that I have time to watch it, I can't find the thread with the links. Can anyone help an interested browncoat out? Much appreciation would be flowing your way....

Thanks for that link.

I'm not sure it's the one I am talking about as the folks on the thread kept remarking that the cast was the same except for Inara. And it's supposedly not a full length episode.

This is the only pilot version around. Rebecca Gayheart was only filming for a couple of days before being replaced by *cough* "mutual consent". (I suspect she was unmutual.)

The pilot is in really poor quality though it was actually my first introduction to Firefly. I downloaded a copy before Firefly had even aired. Watched a little of the grainy footage then decided to wait until the proper series. Little did I know...

There is an interview with Alan Tudyk and Ron Glass (check out the Firefly Talk podcast, episode #30) where Alan mentions that the footage with Ms. Gayheart must be SOMEWHERE..... But I have never run across any of it, nor anyone who claims to have seen it. And Morena was in the version first shown to the Fox execs, because there were only a few days of filming before Ms. Gayheart was replaced. Maybe enough film time for a few scenes, but nothing more, I'd wager.
