New Recruit Gaming in the 'verse

Hello All,
I've been watching the forums for a bit and I thought I'd post my first thread today since a lot of other new Browncoats have appeared recently.
I went to see Serenity and had never even heard that the movie was based off a tv show. Naturally I begged my friend for the DVD's. After watching the pilot I knew I was a Browncoat for life. Now me and a few friends have recently began playing the Serenity role playing game. It is so much fun. I've actually recruited a Browncoat who I got to join the game and have converted 2 others in the past month or so. Anyone else out there play the RPG?

Howdy, IsaacShepherd, and welcome to our little Haven. :p Ain't nothing quite so shiny as seeing another recruit out there to help hold the line.

Me and mine have pretty much dropped out of the roleplaying bandwagon, but I'll likely end up purchasing the Serenity one for the reference material, if nothing else.

Used to be a pretty hard-core roleplaying back in the days before White Wolf and WoC, though. Anything GDW (Traveller, Space: 1889, and Twilight 2000), Cyberpunk, and Amber were our big ones before our gang gave up the ghost. (Just got too hard trying to get everyone together post-highschool.)

Though... if (let's hope not, but...) we don't get another season or BDM anytime soon, I might have to crack and start a game up. Gonna need some methadone for my Firefly withdrawals, and I doubt the comics alone will keep it at bay. Also, likely a real shiny way to get some more 'coats into the fold. :P
