I was just trying to draft an email to the closest 2nd run theater. My brain's blorting.

Several of you have mentioned your wonderful successes at convincing 2nd run theaters to run our Big Dang Movie, so please share any emails that worked.

We've got a solid trickle of new fans who missed it on the Big Dang Screen, plus our loyal core fanbase who are all still keen to see it again, Big & Beautiful!

I don't know about anyone else, but when Serenity was brought to the 2nd run around here, it was only about a month after it left the 1st run theaters (and before it was out on video). Basically, I called asking when they would be getting Serenity about 3 times a day, everyday til they got it! lol :)

How many Browncoats around that theater do you know? Are you members of any local area Browncoat group? How many people can you bring with you to a showing?

I think Serenyty got Serenity to show in a Second-run theater by emailing and also having a local yahoo group email. I'm asking Serenyty on another thread to post a suggestion on this thread.

The theater wants to know that they are going to have enough people show up.

My suggestions--although I have not been brave enough to even email a theater.

1. Introduce yourself.
2. I and # of my friends would like to see Serenity again on the Big Screen. I am on this or that local internet group and if you will please show Serenity, I will post it on that internet group. Mention how many members you have on that internet group. If you are not a member of a local Browncoat group, mention that you will post a notice on www.fireflyfans.net and that you will tell all your friends.

Serenyty in MN was able to get them to show it at 11:00 pm on a Friday or someday. One day--that was all the theater could do. And such a crowd came...that it kept coming back.
