I’m interested in hypothetical things more than I probably should be, and I keep on wondering what it would take to get Firefly, not Serenity, back.

Don’t tell me it can’t be done for two reasons:
1 This is hypothetical
2 Everything has a price. If you give me world peace and universal salvation to work with I’ll get Jesus of Nazareth to convert to Islam. Since we’re not dealing with saviors the price of Firefly is likely more material and less unattainable.

Based solely on your own knowledge and intuition what do you think that price would be?

[When I say Firefly I mean either the series continued from where it left off or a series with our crew as continued from the movie(s).]

Why hypothesize on the impossible. Joss is right, you can't go back to Firefly because the story has been advanced in Serenity. The next logical step, assuming there is enough support and money, is to do one of two things:

1) Make a sequel to Serenity on the big screen, or;

2) Make a television series based on the movie Serenity.

No sense fussin' 'bout the past. What's done is done. Just keep hopin and supportin and see what happens next.

I think the above scenario could happen if their's money to be made. It could be the ass backward dyslexic life cycle of entertainment:

The television series that spawned a movie that spawned...A television series!

Crazier things have happened, someone greenlighted Battlefield Earth!

Bring the Big Damn Heroes back!

The book was good, I think, it was a while ago.

We can only hope, pray and do such things.

I agree, the book was good. The movie may have been THE WORST movie I've ever paid money to see! It's tied with Wing Commander.

Bring the Big Damn Heroes back!

I kinda like the idea of an animated series, if it's done right, assuming we can't get a season 2...

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
