The critics seem to be pretty rough on it (but that doesn't mean much) ...

How is it?

The Serenity movie is awesome (if you're familiar with at least episode 1 of the series).

XEROGRAVITY

Who cares if it's good or not?

It's formula. Hot chick. She kicks ultraviolent ass. She'll get nominated for all kinds of awards and we'll all nibble off the red carpet (like sheep). It was a cartoon on Nickelodeon for Teens (err... "MTV"). It's just sexy, and it started out as a cartoon on a channel with "music" in the name (MUSIC television on WooHoo and stuff!). Even VH1 thinks it's supergroovy (I think they might have something to do with music too, but don't quote me). Who needs plot when we have all of that?

It will make money. Period. Kinda like 200+ million dollar Kong flick. Silly lovesick monkey! Put that new "Faye Raye" down! Bad monkey bad! That's monkey in the bank.

FINN MAC CUMHAL

Aeon Fluxx wasn’t anywhere near as good as Narnia, but it also didn’t have an acclaimed story behind it nor a big budget. The story itself was flawed from the start. I remember watching it on MTV and thinking how stupid it was, so I really had low expectations from the start. They did a good job with the movie and Theron played the character well, so given that I expected the story to be dumb, I was surprised that it was better then I thought it would be.

I don’t think the story will make a lot of money though. I have my doubts about it even breaking even. I also think King Kong will be a flop as well.
