Sometime in mid October, you'd think I'd remember such a momentous date, I saw Serenity for the first time.
WOW!!!! What an experience! I have been sucked into the black and it's shiny with me!!
The trailers did it no justice whatsoever. This is one of the best roller coaster rides I have been on. The characters have such depth. The story was cohesive. Visually luscious. The soundtrack sublime. Joss Wheadon has replaced Spielberg, Lucas, and Rodenberry as my space lord(my age must be showing).
Serenity haunted me for days, until I returned to the theatre. It was even better the second time. But since I live on the corner of no and where it soon left the cinema here. What was I to do next.
Fortunatly I was enlightend to the existance of Firefly. So I journied to the big city and scoured the store aisles till I found the DVD set.
There is no way I could remotely expect the feast for the sense laid out in every episode. Now that I have watched them what is next?
Hopes of another season or movie dance in my imagination. I sincerly wish some studio executive who has any sense will seek Joss out and beg him to continue the finest work of TV/movie production ever presented to viewers.
Until then, I will watch my Firefly DVDs and wait for Serenity to be released as well.

Welcome to the black. Check out the 3 issues of the Serenity Comic book and the online River Tam Sessions. I hear there will be at least one more 3 part comic, and who knows, when Joss wraps Womder Woman and Goners, maybe he and Tim Minear will do Serenity 2. There's also the Serenity RPG.
