see, thiis is what happens when you're bored and in the kitchen..

FRUITY OATY BARS (or a version of..)
1 cup oats (i used instant porridge)
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chopped dried fruit
1/2 cup chopped chocolate
125g butter (or margerine. or olive oil spread, whatever you have on hand)
2 tbs golden syrup
extra chocolate for dipping

combine dry ingredients. microwave your butter and golden syrup to melt butter, warm the syrup. pour into your bowl o' dry ingredients, mix together and press into a greased/lined tin of adequate size. cook in your handily preheated oven (180 C) for 20-25 minutes.
leave til cold, chop into bar shapes. melt the extra chocolate, coat the bars and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
Eat and sing annoying advertising jingles. :)
