you all probably know this, because it is probably in one of the books or some such, but I didn't-

a friend of mine told me that the scenes with River in the classroom were filmed at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens.

nothing earthshaking I know.. but an interesting tidbit. The Huntington is a lovely location with great libraries for scholars and beautiful botanical grounds for everyone.

Those going to the Flanvention will be not far from this locale.
