The troll with the nasty image redirects is still about. If you look in the Blue Sun Room at the note I posted to fanfic authors about thwarting the troll's code, you'll see about six very recent attempts by the troll to do just that. So far, no-joy for the troll against the counter-measures.

he's also attacking the blogs now as well as bluesun fics and images. Tried to put the fix into my blog that he hit, but it didn't work (I did change the part that said blue sun room). Any ideas??

I occurs to me that this type of person somehow feels personally superior because of his ability to hack our site. The excuse that he was just exposing a security lapse just doesn't wash with me; were that the case, he could have just brought it up w/Haken. If he insisted on the redirect, he could've sent us to georgesoros.com, or Amazon.com, or maybe a picture of a broken lock or somesuch. But the fact the he redirected us to the most offensive image possible completely shatters whatever posture of altruism he adopts, especially in view of the fact that children inhabit this webspace.

I was none too pleased to see that come up on the comments to my fic. If the admins could give us the ability to delete comments, we might be able to clean up after these bozos.

Haken's working on it, but unfortunately it's not as simple as just turning on an option. This site isn't running on some off-the-shelf packaged application; every single bit of it was hand-coded by Haken and real life hasn't left him with a lot of time to put in all the fixes and enhancements he has wanted to do to the site.

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.
