Here's a link to a slide show about Mind Blowing TV Shows, such as Fringe and Orphan Black

Enjoy!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

They did make some factual errors. Awake was on NBC, not CBS, and it was not popular, which was the reason it was axed. I think it averaged about 3 million viewers per episode. It was very good though.

Flashforward's concept might have been mind blowing, but the execution was terrible.

Fringe is one of my all-time favorites, and Orphan Black is my current favorite, but I would also have included Continuum on this list. Former shows that fit the criteria are Twin Peaks, Nowhere Man, Journeyman and John Doe. Some shows from other countries that some might not be aware of include Charlie Jade, Jekyll, and the original British version of Life on Mars, along with its sequel, Ashes to Ashes.

EDIT: Forgot one other. A show FOX ran on Friday nights and it only lasted thirteen episodes, but I didn't see it until it repeated on the Sci-Fi Channel, and I haven't seen it since because it has never been released on any video format. Anyone else remember VR.5?

Anyone else remember one of the original mind blowers from 1967/68 called The Prisoner? Almost every episode had something that threw you for a loop.

Everyone I knew watched The Prisoner. Perhaps the biggest cult show of the era.

Remember The Champions? Ran for 1 season, '68-'69 with 30 episodes. Agents for an international intelligence organization are in a plane crash in a remote part of the Himalayas. They are rescued by members of an unknown civilization and given super powers ... telepathy, superior strength, superior memory.

Were Twilight Zone and Outer Limits the originals?

The 2nd episode of The Outer Limits was called '100 Days of the Dragon'. It was about Chinese agents killing the U.S. President and replacing him with a duplicate they created by altering cellular composition. Two months later Kennedy was assassinated.
