I've only lived in Australia for like 2 years so I don't know how it's decided if and when a movie from the U.S. should come here. Someone please tell me Serenity'll be in Australia! Is there any reason for it not to be? Is there any way of even knowing this far from the actual U.S. opening? Thanks, it's worrying me a bit.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The BDHs had no information on international release dates when they spoke at Dragon Con this past weekend; believe me, they were asked.

I see no reason why it would not be shown in Australia. I imagine that once it does well here in the States, Univeral will get it out to other countries as well.

Ooh I hope so! I'm so jealous of U.S. browncoats right now! Even if it does come to Aus, ya'll get to see it first!

Come on, don't forget the Canadian Browncoats. We get to see it April 22nd as well.

In all seriousness, I don't ever d/l movies on the internet, but if I were in the same situation the temptation would be too much. I would duely repay Universal when the film was released in my region by seeing it in theatres at least 5 times.

I do remember Joss responding to a similar question, I think at Chicago's Wizard World. He said Universal tries to release films at the same time around the world. Which doesn't always mean it will, but that's what I read in a report.
