do you think that the crew should some how get new memmbers added to it. it would be interesting to see some new people added to the ship. not that iam saying that we dont have a good crew already.

I think there's room for a 'floating' crew member, one that could show up from time to time.Almost like YoSaffBridge was. But that would work only on a series, and not so much in a movie. I think we have plenty of material w/ the 9 we have now, plus Serenity.

If the show went on for a while I would assume the regulars would come and go; and mabye Jayne would get his own Spin-Off.

That's true, I mean at Buffy. Oz, Riley, Tara, Anya, Andrew, Dawn, Kennedy, and Ms. Calender weren't there in the beginning. If Firefly had stayed on TV, there is no doubt Joss would have added new characters and some characters would have left just like some did on Buffy.

For a fanfic I never did write, I tried thinking about perspectives on the 'verse that weren't yet represented on board. We have high class folks, soldiers, shepherds, etc. My thought was they don't have someone from the absolute bottom of the heap -- a slave. Maybe one's escaped with the ship, or maybe through some wacky set of occurrences Mal inadvertently buys one (that was the fanfic).

In addition to a slave, a Reaver would have actually been a really interesting crewmember on board Serenity.

I'm for certain as the show went on we would learn more about Reaver culture and a major Reaver character would have been introduced.

It would have been a great idea to have a former Reaver in a set-up similiar to the way Seven of Nine from Star Trek Voyager was a former Borg.
