Okay....so this has probably been mentioned before, but....has anyone seen the movie The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension?
If you have....do you think Joss got some inspiration for Firefly from it?
More specifically the western/asian mix (though i think it's japanese-asian in this movie....)

A definite yes. I've always thought that one moment in Badger's den was a reference to the moment when the Hong Kong Cavaliers are on stage and things suddenly get interesting.
