What does the future hold for Firefly fandom?

So put down as in, "not elevate, or exaggerate the influence or importance of the fanfics." I guess I can understand that. Still, these are hobbies, and maybe they're ONLY hobbies, but even if it's all unorganized and it's not any grand projects, it indicates the fans are still interested, doesn't it? We may be losing people, as you say, but the people putting up fanfiction or wallpapers, they're steadier fans, who are investing something in the community, and who are in turn becoming bonded with the community through response to their work. Maybe that's not something to crow about, maybe it's not something that'll revive the series or get another movie made, but maybe it is, on some level, important.

This one as far as I can tell doesn't even need to be done, because we're already getting an atlas of the verse from QMx.

...Hmm... You know, if someone really wants to make Serenity products, QMx comes out with some fine work. I'm not sure exactly what deals they've made or rights they have, but if someone has an idea they think would be marketable, QMx seem like the go-to people right now. Less so much the fandom at large.
