I just finished my student teaching and had a little gathering for my students. At this little party I showed clips of movies, mostly from the remake of Red Dawn which I am an extra.

I raffled off some DVD's as prizes and among them were Serenity and the Firefly series.

Also, throughout my time teaching I used certain quotes and phrases from our beloved series.

Whenever I get the opportunity in the future I will promote Firefly and Serenity.

What are some of the things you have done or plan to do to keep spreading the joy.

I need some more ideas.

I like using natural methods for spreading the love. I have a good rapport with the kids at work so when they start going on a bout the latest version of Halo I mention casually that some of the actors providing the voices have done some other cool work etc etc. generally I find kids will get into whatever the people they like/respect are into as long as they don't feel manipulated or pushed into it. If you make it too obvious you'll get resistance and lose your cred.
as for adult friends I've been lending Firefly out quite a bit lately since Castle hit the airwaves. as many of my female friends are totally in crush with Nathan Fillion.
Ahhh if only Firefly and Serenity had been as well pimped as Castle

I have a kitty named Kaylee who had some medical issues. My aunt who's a vet tech answered a lot of questions for me over email. So, I sent her a DVD set as a thank you. So, far she's watched the first episode and liked it. Hopefully if she enjoys the whole series she'll spread the joy.

Yeah, I'm an extra in the remake of Red Dawn in theaters Nov. 24th.

I'm currently working on SWAT Fire Fight. A sequel to the movie SWAT. Starting in June I will start working on the movie Real Steel starring Hugh Jackman.
