I myself am an avid gamer, and know that the space-sim genre is in need of a facelift. Earth and Beyond does it some justice, and the upcoming title Freelancer is supposed to be pretty good, but the genre as a whole is terribly under produced. However, the Firefly universe seems to lend itself perfectly to a great new video or computer game.

With different planets of different technological levels all throughout the Firefly world, it could be a perfect mission-based shooter, with the player having to smuggle different items from planet to planet.

I know that this is not a game forum, but a Firefly game, if a software company produced it, would have great effects on the show. A good game can increase ratings, and show more people what they are missing.

I think the idea has potential, even though it will probably never happen.

If you don't already know you can download skins or MaL. Zoe And Jayne for Quake 3 and Unreal Tounament from the offcial Firefly web site. They 're also working on a map of Serinity for Unreal championship. it may not be a actual Firefly game but it's the next best thing for now
