Great stuff PurpleBelly!!!! Thanks for the laugh.

Editted to add: Sticks, I don't think we ever see a Reaver in the 14 episodes - by design. Fear of an unknown is greater than fear of a known and all that. We see what the one survivor does to himself in an attempt to mimic them. But I'm guessing that his transformation was still in the beginning phases.

Reminds me of the bad guys in the movie "Ghosts of Mars". They possessed humans who then did the same things as the Reavers - and the one survivor we saw. Hmmm...the movie DID end on a cliffhanger, with the major city under the influence of the bad guys...maybe they got off Mars...

Yep, what good ole Soupcatcher said ... the only "Reaver" we saw was not really one - jus the guy who went insane watching Reavers butcher the folks he knew. From the episode "Bushwacked".

Would a screen-capture of him (Reaver-ized) be good enough?

I dont think there has been any pictures leaked from the set, and i know that they never showed what they look like in the show. But i can confirm you will see them in the movie...I sat next to one in the make-up trailer..:)

funny you should ask. i read the original script for bushwhacked yesterday. i know the guy in bushwhacked maybe is not a full blown reaver yet, but ooh. and he is all we got. as i read it i thought the script description might have been worse than the real thing. This is when mal is leading harken and his men through serenity and just after mal sees simon and turns ...

"THE KILLER

Leaps from out of frame, attacking one of the men just behind Harken. Harken turns. THE KILLER slashes Harken's man. There is blood, splashing across Harken's surprised face.

Harken fumbles for his gun, the Killer knocks it away, lunges at Harken, as --

Mal leaps at the guy's back, brings his cuffed hands over his head and around his throat --

HARKEN'S POV

Of the HIDEOUS MUTILATED FACE, flesh peeled back, mouth pinned into a grimace by bits of metal. It SNARLS and SNAPS at Harken, trying to get at him. Right the fuck up in his face. Being held at bay only by Mal's strength. It is terrifying. Mal pulls hard. There is a crack.

Mal lets the body drop at their feet.

ANGLE: THE SURVIVOR

Mal uses the tip of his boot to turn the dead man's head slightly... Mutilated flesh. The skin of his mouth remains pulled back and pinned into that hideous grimace. Scarcely human.

MAL AND HARKEN

As they share a look. Harken's face sullied with blood. A baptism of sorts. There are no words. Off this --

EXT. SPACE"

ok, now i'll have nightmares.

"They say the snow on the roof is too heavy. They say the ceiling will cave in. His brains are in terrible danger."
