don't understand what to talk about on here i know you can't talk about yourself that's a big no no and you can't talk about firefly cast members what can you talk about in a ''GENERAL DISCUSSION BOARD''? Oh I know lest talk about what to eat or lets start a thread about caption tightpants (caption tightpants? how GAY does that sound?) Then hope that people like Jack peacemaker or Jack Bytemite approves of the thread or it will get shipped to the garbage bin likes who do they think they are to approve or disapprove of someone's thread?

I'm not sure if that's actually a question or a statement.

Obviously since it's titled "General discussions and comments relating to Firefly," it's supposed to be an area to discuss Firefly. I'm not sure everyone uses it that way, but that appears to be what it's for.

There's "Talk Story" for other general stuff; I check that regularly and we have fun down there.

And of course RWE is for politics for the most part, obviously.

I think it's great there's the talk story forum, as it's a place I can go to discuss things neither firefly nor (potentially) be involved in the, ahem, "enthusiasm" down in REW.

I don't think the people you mention are the deciders of what goes where, I think that's up to the person/people who pay for this board. I think posting what you did was out of line, but I'm not sure where it belongs, if that's what you're asking.

This IS a Firefly website, as well, so if one wishes to discuss other things only, I guess this is the wrong place to be?

Why can't you talk about yourself or cast members? Unless you mean saying unkind things about the cast members; given it's a fan site, I don't imagine that would go over too well...

Capt. Tightpants, by the way, is what Kaylee called Mal in Shindig...there's nothing gay about it, it was a snide remark on her part--I don't know what people discuss there, haven't been there, I like the three areas I mentioned and stay almost exclusively in them.
