I was watching some movie.... called...Serenity or something.

There was a cute little mechanic girl who said "shiny"

I couldn't help but think of our little Kaylee saying it!! Do you think there's a connection?

Who ever made the movie clearly didn’t have a creative cell in the bunch.

They totally ripped the ship from Firefly, passed it off as their own, and then tried to hide that fact by changing the doors in the floor of the cargo hold.

Typical Hollywood.

Don't jump to conclusions so easily. Shiny is a commonly used term, I regularly hear it used by many intelligent and highly reasonable people all the time.
After all, when one of those purplebellies says the ship is a Firefly class, it's not like you can assume that's a reference to something other than entimology, right?
