Someone posted this on twitter (I want to say that it was Stephen Fry, but it could've been qikipedia) http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=why-do-we-swear says:
Quote:

Earlier studies have shown that unlike normal language, which relies on the outer few millimeters in the left hemisphere of the brain, expletives hinge on evolutionarily ancient structures buried deep inside the right half.

One such structure is the amygdala, an almond-shaped group of neurons that can trigger a fight-or-flight response in which our heart rate climbs and we become less sensitive to pain. Indeed, the students' heart rates rose when they swore, a fact the researchers say suggests that the amygdala was activated.

So this means that, with a stripped amygdala, she would have no reason to ever swear, as it wouldn't give the same amount of relief it gives to others.

That would suck.

I think I read that article, the one about how swearing acts as a pain relief? Splits your attention between the pain reaction and the verbal reaction in the brain?

Swearing's a fun stress reliever too!

Swearing... Is there anything it CAN'T do?

Oh, and by the way, as you can see from my avatar, I rarely feel pain, and I rarely suffer from stress!

Hmmm... Why do they have to postulate whether the amygdala was involved in the people who swore versus those who didn't? They could have done an fMRI to get a better sense of what parts of the brain were activated...
