In Trash, the crew knew...

that they were tricking Saffron from the beginning. I thought maybe Mal and Inara only knew and the rest of the crew weren't told.

But then Jayne at the table when Inara comes in saying "Dupes. Idiots." etc. Jayne is starting to crack up and almost looses it. I now think Jayne knew. That means they all knew.

Mal told them all while Saffron was in the box. No other time could he have done it and not be sure she would have heard.

What do you think? Do you think Mal told everyone while Saffron was in the box?

Also, if you'll look at the top of the box that Saffron is in, Mal shot three air holes in it.

I like to imagine he did it AFTER he stuffed her in there, and heard her complain about suffocating. He's so nice. XD

Yes, they all definitely knew about the plan. Jayne is not the only one who almost gave it away. Both Kaylee and Wash had a hard time trying to keep from laughing when they were discussing the job in the galley.

No way. I think she complained before she got in the box. I don't think Mal could count on the bullet not hitting her or bouncing around and hurting her if she was already in the box. Also the concussion. Look how stuffed she looked when he opened up the box.

Still all that doesn't keep you from imaging it. LOL.

I just saw this episode again last night, for the first time in over a year. I even forgot that the crew duped her in the end... so I guess I missed all the subtle clues :-(

Guess this means I need to see it again, and this time, not be taken in by Christina's charms.
