I was thinking about all the flashback scenes in Firefly, and how a 'prequel' episode would be fun to see. So I compiled all the flashbacks into a little article on my little blog.

I can understand not including the Miranda broadcast from circa 1506 before the war started, but is there a reason not to include the original first scene for Pilot Serenity, which would be about 2 weeks after the scene which replaced it?
How about the River escape from Institute flashback from Serenity?
How about the River classroom flashback opening the BDM in about 2510?
Is it because they are from BDM and not the series?

Yes.

I am only using clips I can find online. Is there anywhere to get the clips you mentioned from the BDM? If so, I would include them as well.

Sigh. I've watched four episodes since yesterday. There is a shot of Mal wearing goggles in Bushwacked as he uses a welding torch to cut through the storage door. I have those exact goggles.

I watch this show way too much.
