You know that rush of excitement you feel when you see a stranger wearing a Firefly T-Shirt or sporting a Jayne hat? I love that!

I was walking into school this morning when suddenly this boy's shirt caught my eye. After staring like an idiot, I realized it was the Shiny Logo T-shirt.

I barely know him, and I probably never would've talked to him before, but now I have this desire to be his best friend (bear in mind, none of my friends are Firefly or even SciFi fans). Has anyone ever had this experience before?

STOWEAWAY

I know what you mean. I live in a small town & rarely meet people who even know what the heck Firefly is.
One day my family and I were walking toward the movie theater and I saw a guy walking towards us wearing a Jayne hat -- upside down around his neck, like a satchel/pouch thingy. It took me a minute to figure out what it was since I'm used to seeing them on people's heads.
So when he cruised by I told him his hat was cunning. He said "Shiny". It was all VERY exciting.
And that's the one & only time I've seen another Browncoat here.

BRIGLAD

Over the holidays, I was working a temp job in a coffee plant.

One day I wore my Can't Stop the Serenity 2008 t-shirt to work.

At lunch two of my co-workers asked if the shirt meant Serenity the movie. Out of a crew of 12, three of us were fans and Amanda was most definitely a Browncoat nearly as obsessed as me.

VETERAN

Don't squat with your spurs on.

I gave a presentation to a client a while back. After I closed Powerpoint My Serenity in Orbit wallpaper came up. The client stared for a second and said, "I know that ship." Turned out he was a Browncoat. I like to think my presentation helped keep that contract but maybe it was her (Serenity).
