They don't suck? They do if you are a fan of "Chuck," and "Castle" didn't do much with that huge Dancing lead-in.

Castle is a show word of mouth will assist, and it's not arc-driven, that helps.

Castle did fine over 11 million viewers, Big Bang with Summer did fine. That means the ratings did'nt suck, I forgot about Adam on CHUCK tho.

Ratings are not just a matter of number of viewers. Networks also take into account how later shows hold onto a previous show's audience. Castle lost half of Dancing with the Stars' audience. That can't be viewed very positively, no matter how you want to spin the numbers.
