does anyone happen to have a good screencap of the abandoned ship in "Bushwhacked"? every time i see it, it looks like another firefly to me, but in the episode, there is no indication it is even a remotely similar ship.

There are some simularities, I think.

Try here: http://firefly.deadly-nightshade.net/images/bushwhacked/

Mal: "We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so... very... pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die."

It's definitely not a firefly. When they pick it up, Wash says it reads as a converted "U-trans" class ship that isn't in production any more. Besides that, when they go inside, there is no resemblance to the firefly class interior floorplan that I can see.

i remember wash calling the reaver ship in "serenity" a trans-U ship but in "bushwhacked" i only remember zoe calling it a "cargo hauler" which is what serenity is too, right? still, i am sure it not a firefly, but it sure does look like one.

My bad, you are right about the Trans-U in Serenity. In Bushwacked, it was just a derelict transport ship: "converted cargo hauler, short-range scow" and it was a settlers' ship, made for 16 families. It never struck me as a firefly, tho.

i am sure it is not one, but it just looked like one with the long neck and the fact that it was a cargo ship too. of course, if you look at the screencaps, you can see it has a different engine too.
