Michael Fairman, aka, Adelai Niska, has re-emerged as a bluejeans, flannel shirt wearing bait and tackle shop owner on the soap opera The Young and the Restless.

I only know this because of a recent visit to a friends house where his wife was watching the all day Soap channel...(didn't even know it existed). I don't watch soaps. I mean, peoples lives aren't miserable enough without taking on these poor folks suffering, too??

But, sure enough there he was, portraying a character named "Murphy". An affable enough fellow, who only seems to want to help some poor old gal who has lost her memory..... Of course, if I know anything about soaps, (and i don't), Murphy will soon be found to be a long lost son or husband who was killed in a mysterious whaling accident... or some such foolishness...

I don't mean to be harsh to those fans of soaps... nothing wrong with a little daytime drama, but i doubt if i'll be tuning in to find out if Murphy has a sidekick...

Yeah, it's pretty cool. A girl i know is not really a Firefly fan, but she will watch Waitress every time it comes on the tube. She really likes Dr. Pomatter.... who, as you know, is played by Nathan.
