Putting aside the idea that there have been various faile attempts before... I gotta say I'm a little put off by the plain statement that a percentage of the money would be going to you. While I understand the feeling that you deserve something for your troubles, I gotta say, that assertion muddies the waters quite a bit. Even if I were inclined to donate anything, I'd seriously hesitate because of that (and statements in the family of "Don't worry, you can trust me" typically evoke the reverse).

If you're looking to turn a profit on this, even a modest one, I have to question whether the term "Browncoat" actually applies to you. There are a lot of folks out there who give their time and energy to Firefly in different ways, and it's very rarely for money. I don't mean to offend, but there it is.

Also, while you might have a great enthusiasm for the show, it pays to do a little research, too. That would have unearthed the similar, previous attempts (and their pitfalls) and would also show that in the world of movies and TV, 2.5 million ain't but a drop in the bucket. The pilot for the series cost 4 times that!

Well I'm just gonna say that the last comment was sad to read. It's harsh to realise that there might not be any hope for Firefly. :(
