Hello folks! I'm working on a Firefly/Serenity related project and was hoping to get some Browncoat support. Here's what I need... Take each crew member (Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, Zoe Alleyne Washburne, Hoban "Wash" Washburne, Inara Serra, Jayne Cobb, Kaywinnit Lee "Kaylee" Frye, Dr. Simon Tam, River Tam, Derrial Book) and divide them into groups of two, three, or four, using each member only once. The groups must relate to different jobs done on the show. For example, you could use Mal, Zoe, and Jayne in one group related to the confrontation with Patience.

Remember, each crew member can only be used once and everyone must be used. Groups can't be smaller than two and can't be larger than four. If anyone can help me out, I'd love to hear your suggestions. Jobs must be from either the episodes of Firefly or the Serenity movie (no books or comics please).

EDIT: Oops! Double check of my own project reveals a bit of a flaw... It has to be three groups of three to work properly. This makes it MUCH harder, I know, but I'm a little bound to the structure of what I'm working on.

I'm looking for more show specific events. Some more examples could be:

Wash and Kaylee building the hospital shuttle.
Book, Wash, Jane, and Zoe rescuing Mal from Niska.
Mal and Simon posing as mud buyers.

Something you can put visuals to.

I'd rather keep what I'm doing a secret for now, mainly because if I can't work out details like this, I'll have to move on to another idea. Thus, I'd rather not start any kind of buzz if I can't finish it. Once the project is rolling a bit more though, I'll put a website up tracking progress.

Some good suggestions so far! River and Book seem to be the trouble children of this puzzle. Does anyone have suggestions that branch over several episodes? The bigger (read: most memorable) the role, the better fit it is. Another good one I thought of was:

Group One: Crazy Ivan escape from the Reavers
Wash
Kaylee
Book
Jane

Even if you can only think of one memorable grouping, please post it! Maybe in a week or so we'll have enough to mix and match into the perfect set of nine

I edited my first post, but I wanted to add something here as well. I was mistaken in my own layout. I'm bound to make three groups of three. This will make it much more difficult... I'm asking everyone who thinks of any memorable grouping of three people to a point in the show or movie to step up!
