I'm a fan of both Combat! and Firefly and have been
asked to tell this group about Combat! Their
fans are now voting for Firefly in the HOF voting -
in exchange they ask for Firefly fans to please
vote for Combat! on our ballots. Combat! was a
WW2 tv series which ran on ABC from 1962-1967. In
its 5 full years in prime time, it was never out
of the top 10 rated-shows. It was a fantastic show - and you can rent Combat! DVDs today from netflix
or whereever DVDs are available.

Please help Combat! fans to get their show into the
Hall of Fame - they need our help - and the are
now voting for Firefly to help us reach our goal
of 750,000 votes.

I have to admit that I am surprised there are that many people around who remember Combat. Were talking the early Sixties here.

My dad was in the Eight Airforce and Uncle Mike was with Patton's Third Army.

Yes, it's amazing COMBAT! is doing so well in
the HOF voting since it was on so long ago - it's
a real testimate to the quality of the show!!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I've seen a good number of the episodes of Combat! on television a few years back. There was a marathon on one of the cable channels (slips my mind which channel) and I watched all day long. Good show. Been meaning to find it on dvd somewhere to give it another watch.

Hello BrownCoat1:

I have not seen this show in years, so I was just a youth, but this was a very dramatic series; not just an action adventure show. Most, if not all the combat, takes place in France. They even have an episode with a flashbback to D-Day.

So I give it a thumbs up if you are serious about getting the DVD's.
