Firefly/Joss Whedon tribute in PC game

I was playing Westward yesterday, by Sandlot Games, which is one of those PC strategy games. The basic premise is that you "Control the destiny of the wild West as you build thriving towns where there once was just sagebrush, while chasing down the nefarious Mad Russian and bringing him to justice."

When I reached the "Lightning Bluff" level, the main characters were named Simon Whedon and Kaylee Whedon.

I thought that was so shiny! Just wanted to share. Some game designer over there must be a Browncoat...

Cool.

Here is a FF reference in the ever popular World of Warcraft. It is a lil non combat pet that flies around with you. One of the rarest in the game. I worked for days to get this guy. It is a great conversation starter and get constant compliments from FF fans.

You can see the caption beneath his carrying case. "Still Flying..."

I do remember seeing a few more FF ref.s in the game but cannot recall them now.
