The Numbers keeps postings old sales figures data and they finally got to Nathan Fillion's movie SLiTHER (2006) DVD release.

So I checked the Firefly and Serenity figures and the numbers went up. I think they picked up some new vendors. Prior sales data before 10/29/06 is not yet available. Hopefully, they keep getting old data and someday we will have DVD sales data from the regular Serenity release.

Firefly - The Complete Series DVD sales: $1,288,185 Total Units: 45,794 No Prior sales data available for Firefly yet.

No wonder there's so much confusion about Serenity's success at the box office. The people here at this site alone could probably account for the total sales figure for the Serenity DVD according to those numbers. For as long as Firefly was one of the top 10 bestsellers at Amazon you would think their current numbers would reflect that number also. After all, they've had since 2003 to do the math. What do you think they're waiting for? Thanks for posting this. It says a lot.

Yep. There is a database at Universal and 20th Century Fox Production company that knows exactly how many DVDs of Serenity and Firefly have sold in TOTAL. The DVDs are selling all the time. They only show up on the numbers chart when they are in the top 30 and that depends on how well they sell and how well everything else on the chart sells.

The 1st week of sales for SLiTHER got posted and added to the second week.
