This made me really mad, and I don't even live in Ireland.

Turns out the Meath County Council, the NRA (National Roads Authority), and the Irish Government want to build the M3 highway through The Hill of Tara National Monument.

Damn the bastids! Sounds like it's happening kinda soon. Thought you all might wanna know, especially those that live on that side of the big pond.

Not at all confident that the petition will work. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

You cannot emphasize enough the importance of preserving historic sites. New clues to the past are tunring up all the time, even in urban areas such as Mexico City for example. What we cannot say is how many more remain undiscovered, or how manny have already been destroyed over the years.
