want to fly a firefly transport in the best pc space combat/trade simulator available?

well, you can't...oh, err, that line is already taken
uh, yeah, you can.

the simulator is called x3, is available for pc and mac, and despite being brain bustingly complex, is the best (and most beautiful) trade and combat space simulator on the market today. it's a single player game, offers both cockpit view and 3rd person ship view, and is both free form and has a story. it's difficult though, and requires a lot of patience and a fair amount of computer saavy...

the firefly ship can be imported into the game via some 3rd party applications, and in fact a lot of the best stuff for the game (like the firefly ship) is available from community modders.

i fly the firefly on trade runs throughout different sectors (there are over 100) and then pilot it remotely via autopilot when i am flying my small, nimble fighter around.

but enough talk, here are two pics (i'd give the guy credit for his incredible work if i could remember his mod name...might be deadlyda?):

oh, almost forgot- you can also fight against reaver style ships in the game (they show up in your scanners as pirate ships), though obviously not in your unarmed firefly

ps- i know i am new here (usually have posted at imdb and universal boards) but i am not a spammer or employee of egosoft or even an x3 modder, just a long-time firefly and x3 gamer, and figured that it was worth it to register and let folks here know about the firefly ship mod for this game.
