A Few Surprises? Let the speculation begin...

Hey all - This is from the Comic-Con web page ( http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci07prog_peek.shtml#sat)

"Dark Horse Presents: Joss Whedon—With the hugely successful release of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 for Dark Horse Comics, Joss Whedon (Fray, Astonishing X-Men) talks about picking up where the TV series left off, his other projects as well as future plans and possibly even a few surprises. A sneak peek from the upcoming Serenity—Collector's Edition DVD will be shown."

I wonder (hoping) if any of the "future plans" and "few surprises" involve Serenity? Anyways the sneak peek at the new Special Edition DVD will be shiny!

I'd hate to speculate. I'd love there to be more FF/S, but with Joss' focus on the Buffy comics and on Goners, my guess is Goners if anything will be talked about.

Very shiny though that they're going to show a sneak peak of the Collector's Edition.

Unless something happens in the next week or so and Goners gets greenlit, I can't see Joss talking much about it. He's gone pretty quiet on the content of the movie itself (so I can't imagine him talking about that), and his most recent remarks on it suggests that they keep making him work on the script (so there wouldn't be anything to say about that).

Last I heard, they had two scripts in the can -- meaning, just scripts -- so I'm not sure where any art would come from. Heh.

Warning: bit of a spoiler possible

I doubt it'll have anything to do with Firefly or Serenity. However, that would be nice and shiny, wouldn't it? ;) Frankly, I'd rather see more Firefly than another movie...perhaps Firefly picking up where it left off, building up to the movie...then maybe rewriting the movie a bit (cmon...wash's death was sucky!) :P

Here's what Joss said over on Whedonesque that sheds some more light on what may be upcoming:

"Really lively would be announcing that I’m actually moving ahead on a greenlit filmed entertainment. Dontchya think? Pretty sure that’s not gonna happen by then, but know that I am working around the clock (well, near a clock) to put together a number of drool-worthy projects. I’m tired of down-time. I’ll keep you posted, either at the con or here on this very webular page. Be like Xander in “The Zeppo”: Have Faith (Oh, ZING!) (I’m so over.) I know the Con will bring knowledge of at least one thing new – a small thing, but it grins me to think on."

Some drool-worthy projects including something of the 'verse would be shiny now wouldn't it?
