There are so many posts with so many varying opinions, I just thought I'd start one and maybe get a straight answer:

Is there any concrete news, one way or the other, regarding Ron Glass/Book being in Serenity?

If so, what's your source?

Though, admittedly, this is hardly official. I'm sure they're just waiting for legalities to work themselves out (don't count your chickens and blah blah blah).

I realize the imdb.com is not an official source, but here are the actors whose profile now includes a listing for Serenity:

Nathan Fillion
Gina Torres
Adam Baldwin
Sean Maher
Summer Glau
Morena Baccarin

And those that don't:

Ron Glass (last listing for him is Firefly (2002)
Jewel Staite
Alan Tudyk

ECGordon is right. Alan & Ron are still not listed at Universal or on IMDb as being signed up yet.

Of course it could be any number of things delaying Alan & Ron from signing on. Alan is currently working on I,Robot, so that could be holding him up. I have no idea what is going on business wise for Ron, but he may have some sort of conflict.

It is still early. We only got the greenlight 15 days ago, so it is a bit premature to say that neither of them will be in the movie. Let's wait & see what Joss works out.

The reason that Ron and Alan aren't listed in the credits is that they still have some contract options with other projects that need to expire. For example Nathan's contract with NBC expired the end of January.
