The 17th Annual Diamond Gem Awards run by Diamond Comic Distributors has named Firefly: The Complete Collection non-sport card product of the year.
This is the second consecutive year that a 'verse related product has won the award - last year the Serenity trading cards won the title. I've got both sets and I have to say they're very well produced and the autograph cards are amazing.
Well done to everyone who went out and made them so popular. Maybe Inkworks will now make a special 'shiny' foil set like they've done with previous Buffy collections.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Great news! I have both sets and love them. Glad to see the Firefly set winning an award.

Ohhh, shiny foil set. Whoo-hoo! Did you send inkworks that idea?? Bet they are secretly working on it already.

Did everybody get the shiny Firefly Collectors Album?

Pic from http://www.poplollies.com They still have Firefly and Serenity Cards and Firefly Collectors albums. But Right now they are switching to another shopping cart...so you can't order right now.

I sent the idea to them, not expecting to get a reply, but I just got an email back saying:

Thanks for writing.

I haven't heard of anything new related to either Serenity or Firefly. But I'll pass your suggestion on to those involved in product development.

It's a shame there's nothing on the cards at the moment but at least she passed on the idea.

And a shiny idea it was too. And maybe it will get Inkworks thinking Firefly/Serenity again.
