Mal's gun variations?

Are there variations in Mal's pistol? Becasue I wanted to build it but have seen a couple different types on ebay. Any thoughts appreciated!

The version in the movie was not the same gun as in the series; they had to remake it. I think they tried to be as close as they could, but there might have been some minor variations. If you get volume one of the Firefly Official Companion there's some great pictures of the gun as it appeared in the series.

Looks very close to the version from the series, except the handle looks a little flat; it looks quite round in the pictures I have here. The rest of the details line up, though.
