I don't exactly understand your snotty tone with me in the other thread about bootlegging. I never said I agreed with the idea. I understand you're pissed at the whole thing, but taking it out on everyone isn't right either.

I don't see where I have to 'ask' him. I remember some interview with him, either when Firefly was cancelled or when the movie was being made where he said something about not really being against it. The reason why I didn't post it on the other thread is because I don't remember where I saw it at, I only know that I did.

I was extremely tired when I wrote this first post, so I'd like to take the opportunity now to better explain myself.

I can see that you're a 'new' fan of Joss's (and a much more skillful and creative one at that), but I have been a fan of Joss's for ten years now. As an artist since the very beginning, and later on as I gained access to the internet (in 2000, I believe) and became aware of Joss the man, I became even more of a fan of his. As an atheist, I see his shows as a Bible of my very own. I have nothing but absolute respect for him.

I am even the type of fan that actually worried about him possibly keeling over from a heart attack while doing three shows at once, and not just because I wouldn't get to enjoy his work.

I also am the type of fan to spend ridiculous amounts of money, putting myself into greater and greater debt, for Joss's work. When BUFFY Season 1 came out, it gave me a reason to buy a DVD player. I bought two copies of the DVDs, in case one got damaged, I'd have a backup. Those who thought I was an idiot for buying them in the first place, thought I was crazy. When I found out that Season 2 would be coming out months earlier in Europe than here, I purchased a special DVD player that would play DVDs from any region and then bought all DVD's (ANGEL, too) from Europe first, before they were released here. Then I bought the ones from here. The only exception to that is ANGEL Season 5, because that one was released here first.

I realize this is 'crazy' to most people, but it was Joss, and severe depression, so I didn't care.

Outstanding debt has forced me to part with some of my extra copies (and my action figures), but I am trying to tell myself that it's for the 'greater good', that maybe someone (possibly a young girl, or whomever) will go to the store where I sold them, bring them home and have their lives changed, too.

I say this so you understand me. I do not condone bootlegging Joss's work, or anyone's. I would personally never bootleg. I would never encourage others to bootleg. I agree that it's stealing and I would never do that to anyone, especially Joss and the casts and crew of any of his shows, all of whom I adore from the bottom of my heart.

Even if they piss me off.
