I have just heard and watched and etc that 2 more movies are planned for the Firefly universe.

As much as this pleases me..i want more of the series. This video...

is an interview of Adam Baldwin (Jayne) and Jewel Staite (Kaylee) talking to a monotone-voiced moron about Serenity and Firefly (nice mention about the hard work that we browncoats put into this :P).

The big dissapointment is when they basically dismiss the idea of more Firefly series.

SACRELIGE...how can they be so pecimistic? Even so they seem resistant to continue the series...no offence to them all because thayre all amazing people...but apart from Gina Torres (Zoe) what have any of themdone that is noticable?

I dunno, i just wanted to rant cos this depressed me that it basically formulates an end to the alternate reality that i would love to BE reality...

I think they realize the reality of the TV regular series market. Now if Firefly was a gameshow.

But Firefly/Serenity doesn't have to go TV regular series market. There are lots of new options available.

1. Sci Fi Channel market.
2. Straight to DVD market.
3. Direct download market.
4. Internet episodes.

Here is my hope:

Sequel. Sequel. TV episode/like movies on the Sci Fi channel/DVD/downloadable/Internet. A Serenity set we can tour at Universal studio--That Joss can use to film Firefly/Serenity stuff whenever he gets the mood/idea. Build it and they will come.

The thing is that Joss and the actors want to continue the 'verse. They just can't see it happening the old way that Fox killed. Doesn't mean we can't get real close to that in the future. Plenty of stories in the 'verse.

Just keep introducing people to Firefly/Serenity.

If Firefly had a feature involving voting of characters and wasn't as witty, intelligent and just plain fantastic (sciece fantastic infact) it would still be on the air. Damn TV execs are like reavers, rape a show till its dead then eat the flesh(cash) of it.

Wow Jewel looks hot! And Adam looks as cunning as ever. However the interview clearly took place to promote the movie and the first comic series.
